Each 100 gm contains:
Amoxicillin (As Trihydrate 45.9 gm) 40 gm
Amoxicillin is semi-synthetic broad spectrum penicillin. A large number of Gram +ve & Gram –ve bacteria (but not β-lactamase-producing strains) are sensitive to the semi-synthetic broad spectrum penicillins (ampicillin & amoxicillin). Susceptible genera include Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus & Pasteurella. Like other penicillins, amoxicillin is a time-dependant, bactericidal agent that acts by inhibiting cell wall synthesis.
for the treatment of:
Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
Colibacillosis caused by Escherichia coli
Fowl Cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida,
Salmonelloses caused by Salmonella
Broiler chickens
Taken orally via drinking water
For whole product: 0.2 – 0.5 gm of product / 1 liter drinking water, daily for 3 – 5 days.
• Penicillins & cephalosporins may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) following
inhalation, ingestion or skin contact.
• Operators with known hypersensitivity should not handle these drugs.
• Clinical signs of allergic reaction in operators include skin rash, swelling of the face, lips, or eyes or difficulty breathing, operators should seek medical advice.
• Prepare the solution with fresh tap water.
• Once opened, use the contents immediately.
• Amoxicillin is a compound with a very high therapeutic ratio.
• It is very unlikely that an overdose of amoxicillin will have adverse effects on the treated animal.
• Allergic reactions & diarrhea.
