Composition:
Each 100 gm contains:
Sulfaclozine (Sulfachloropyrazine sodium monohydrate ) 30 g
Properties:
Emricomartiros is a powder for oral solution containing Sulfaclozine sodium. Sulfaclozine is a bacteriostatic broad spectrum sulfonamide antimicrobial. Sulfaclozine interferes with the biosynthesis of folic acid in bacterial cells by competitively preventing para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) incorporation into the folic (pteroylglutamic) acid molecule. It is active against numerous Gram-positive bacteria (Clostridum perfringens) and Gram-negative bacteria (Salmonella spp .,E.coli & Haemophilus spp.)& as well as Eimeria spp
Indications:
It is used for treatment of:
• Coccidiosis caused by ( E.tenella, E.necatrix, E.acervulina, E.brunetti, E.maxima, E.mitis, E praecox, E.hagani and E.mivati).
• Fowl typhoid caused by Salmonella gallinarum .
Target Species:
Broiler Chickens.
Dosage & route of administration:
Route of administration: To enter via the drinking water.
For whole product:
• Coccidiosis not caused by E. tenella or E. necatrix: 1.8 gm of product / 1 liter of drinking water / day for 3 consecutive days.
• Coccidiosis caused by E. tenella or E. necatrix: 2.7 – 3.6 gm of product / 1 liter of drinking water / day for 3 consecutive days.
• Fowl typhoid caused by Salmonella gallinarum: 1.8 – 3.6 gm of product / 1 liter of drinking water / day for 5 consecutive days.
Warnings:
• Avoid prolonged administration.
Precuations:
Special precautions for use in animals:
• Ensure adequate drinking water intake during treatment.
• In the case of coccidiosis, 60% of the pathogens must be identified before starting treatment with Emricomartiros to determine the dosage.
• The use of Emricomartiros should be carried out taking into account an antibiogram.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
• To avoid sensitization or contact dermatitis, direct skin contact and inhalation during handling and /or use should be avoided.
• Wear a dust mask and gloves.
Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay:
• Do not use on chickens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Contra-indication:
• Severe liver and kidney dysfunction
• Diseases with greatly reduced fluid intake or strong Fluid losses go along
• Damage to the hematopoietic system
• Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides
• Resistance to sulfonamides
• Treatment of E. tenella or E. necatrix infections in chicks.
• Do not use on chickens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Side Effects:
• Allergic reaction
• (Inappetence, diarrhea, decline in laying performance, growth depression, hemorrhages) are rare in chicken after Sulfaclozine.
• Long-term administration of Sulfaclozine may lead to changes in the blood count due to the disruption of leukopoiesis. characterized by agranulocytosis and thrombocytopenia.
Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if necessary:
• Atactic movements.
• Muscle twitching& cramping.
• Liver damage.
Withdrawal Period:
• Broiler Chickens: meat and offal: 16 days
• Do not use in chickens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Storage conditions:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°c.in dry place, Used immediately after opening and Reconstitution
