Each 1 gm contains:
Ampicillin 500 mg (as trihydrate)
Ampicillin is a board spectrum beta lactam bactericidal antibiotic belonging to group aminopenicillins. It acts by impairing the development of bacterial cell walls by interfering with transpeptidase enzymes responsible for the formation of the cross links between peptidoglycan strands. Ampicillin is active against A large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria(but not ß-lactamase-producing strains).
Gram positive: Staphylococcus. Streptococcus.Trueperella and Clostridiun.
Gram negative: Escherichia, Klebsiella, Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus and Pasteurella.
Broiler Chickens:
Broiler chickens.
Route of Administration: Orally via drinking water.
Dose of whole product:
Brolier chickens:
400-600 mg of the product / liter drinking water, for 3 days
– Seriously ill animals have changed drinking pattem and consequently to medicated parenterally.
– Use of the product other than the instructions provided may lead to an increase in the prevalence of resistant bacteria and reduce the effectiveness of treatments with other antibacterials due to the possible appearance of cross-resistance.
-Do not leave water containing ampicillin available to other non-treated or wild animals.
– Do not mix in solid feed.
– People with known hypersensitivity to ampicillin should avoid contact with the product.
– Hypersensitvity to penicillins may be associated with cross-reactivity to cephalosporins and vice versa.
– Direct skin contact and inhalation should be avoided.
– To avoid dust inhalation and skin contact use gloves and a protective mask. In case of contamination, wash thoroughly with water and soap.
-Wash hands after use.
– Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance.
– Do not use in birds that are intended to produce eggs for human consumption.
– Do not use simultaneously with bacteriostatic agents (macrolides, sulfonamides and tetracyclines). Probenecid or sulfinpyrazone.
Ampicilin may cause gastrointestinal effect (anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea). Because the ampicillin may also alter gut flora, antibiotic-associated diarrhea can occur, as well as selecting out resistant bacteria maintaining residence in the colon of the animal (superinfections).
Meat and offal:
Broiler chickens: 1 day
Do not use in birds that are intended to produce eggs for human consumption.
Store at temperature not exceeding 30 C in a dry place, used immediately after opening and reconstitution.
