Composition :
Each 1 kg contains:
Tylosin phosphate 110.64 gm
(Eq. to Tylosin base 100 gm.)
Properties:
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by a strain of Streptomyces fradiae. It exerts its antimicrobial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis of susceptible micro-organisms.
The tylosin spectrum of activity includes Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram – negative bacteria such as Pasteurella spp., and Mycoplasma spp.
Indications:
For the treatment of:
- Respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae, When the disease has been diagnosed in the flock.
- Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens, when the disease has been diagnosed in the flock.

Dosage& route of administration:
Taken orally via feed
For active ingredient:
A-Respiratory infections: 127 mg tylosin / kg b.wt for 5 days.
B-Necrotic Enteritis: 10-20 mg tylosin / kg b.wt for 7 days.
Dose for whole product:
A-Respiratory infections: 1270 mg of the product / kg b.wt.
B-Necrotic Enteritis: 100-200 mg of the product / kg b.wt.
Warnings & precautions:
• In the absence of compatibility studies, this veterinary medicinal product must not be mixed with other veterinary medicinal products.
• Lincosamides and aminoglycoside antibiotics antagonize the activity of tylosin.
• The sensitivity of bacteria to tylosin may have changed over time or geographically. It is sound clinical practice to base treatment on susceptibility testing
Contra-indications
- Do not use in birds with known sensitivity to the active substance and/or to any of the excipients of the veterinary medicinal product,
- Do not use where cross-resistance to other macrolides (MLS-resistance) is suspected.
- Don’t used in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
Side-Effects:
GI upset (Anorexia – diarrhea)
Withdrawal time:
Broilers: 1 day.
Storage condations:
- Store at temperature not more than 30°C.
- Keep out from reach of children.
