Composition :
Each 1 gm contains:
Tylosin tartrate 540.96 mg (eq.to Tylosin base 500 mg)
Properties:
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by a strain of Streptomyces fradiae. It exerts its antimicrobial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis of susceptible micro-organisms. The tylosin spectrum of activity includes amongst Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative strains such as Pasteurella spp and Mycoplasma spp.
Indications:
Broiler chickens: Treatment of chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.

Dosage and administration:
Route of administration: Orally via drinking water
Dose for whole product:
1 kg of product /1000 liters in drinking water for 3-5 days (1gm of product/ 1liter in drinking water for 3-5 days)
Warnings & precautions:
- Due to likely variability (time, geographical) in susceptibility of bacteria to Tylosin, bacteriological sampling and susceptibility testing are recommended
- Under-dosing and/ or treating for an insufficient length of time are considered to promote the development of resistance in bacteria and should be avoided.
- Should not be used with clindamycin (antagonism of effect).
Contra-indications
- Do not use in birds with known hypersensitivity to Tylosin or other macrolides.
- Do not use in cases of known resistance to Tylosin or cross-resistance to other macrolides (MLS-resistance).
- Do not use in birds vaccinated with Tylosin-sensitive vaccines either at the same time or within 1 week previously.
- Not to be used in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
Adverse Effects:
- There is no evidence of Tylosin toxicity in chickens and turkeys, or calves when administered orally at up to three times the recommended dose.
Withdrawal time:
Broilers: 3 days.
Storage conditions:
Store at temperature not exceeding 300 C in dry place and used immediately after opening and used within 24 hours after reconstitution when stored at temperature not exceeding 300 C
Packaging:
Transparent ( LDPE) plastic bag containing 20,25,30,50, 100,150, 200,250,300,500 and 1000 gm W.S. P. in white ( HDPE) plastic jars with white ( HDPE) plastic cap with an outer Label without Insert.
