Neocleer 20%
Medicated Premix (Powder)
For Veterinary Use Only
Composition:
Each gm contains:
Lincomycin (hydrochloride) 220 mg.
Properties:
Lincomycin is an antibiotic from the lincosamide group. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins by binding to the 50 S subunit of the ribosome, preventing the coupling of the transfer RNA. It has a bacteriostatic effect, but at high concentrations can be bactericidal. It is active primarily against Gram (+) bacteria, some anaerobic Gram bacteria (-)(as Brachyspira hyodysenteriae) and mycoplasmas.
Indications:
It is used for treatment of:
Treatment for Porcine:
-Dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae .
– Enzootic pneumonia caused by strains of Mycoplasma hyopneumonia
Control for Broiler chickens:
-Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
Target Species:
Porcine and Broiler chickens.
Dosage & route of administration:
Route of administration: Orally with feed .
For whole product:
•Porcine:
-Dysentery: 200 gm of product / ton feed / day, for 3 weeks.
-Enzootic pneumonia: 400 gm of product / ton feed / day, for 3 weeks.
•Broiler chickens:
– Necrotic enteritis: 9.1 gm of product / tonne feed /day for 3 weeks
Warnings:
The feed intake can be modified as a consequence of the disease. In case of insufficient intake, Administer an alternative parenteral treatment.
Precuations:
Special precautions for use in animals:
• Good clinical practice requires basing the treatment on the sensitivity tests of the bacteria isolated from the sick animals. If this is not possible, treatment should be based on local epidemiological information (regional, at exploitation level) about the sensitivity of the different strains of the bacterial species usually involved in the infectious process.
• The use of the medication under conditions other than those recommended in the leaflet can increase the prevalence of resistant bacteria and decrease the effectiveness of treatment with macrolides as a consequence of the appearance of cross-resistance.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
• Avoid any contact with the veterinary medication
• Administer the medication with caution to avoid contact during its incorporation into the feed.• People with known hypersensitivity to lincosamides should avoid all contact with the veterinary drug.
• Avoid the dissemination of dust during the incorporation of the drug into the feed.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, wash abundantly with water.
• Wash your hands after using the medicine.
• Do not smoke, eat or drink while handling the medication.
Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay:
• Do not use this medicine during pregnancy or lactation.
• Do not use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption .
Contra-indication:
• Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to lincomycin or any of the excipients.
• Do not use in horses, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and ruminants, since it produces serious gastrointestinal alterations.
• Do not use in cases of systemic fungal infections.
• Do not use in animals with renal or hepatic dysfunction.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction:
• Do not use simultaneously with macrolides or other antibacterial that act by joining the 50 S subunit of the ribosomes of the bacterial cell, because antagonism has been described between them.
Side Effects:
• Occasionally, diarrhea and / or mild inflammation and irritation of the anus and / or vulva have been observed these signs.
• Clinical symptoms are usually transient. Rarely, pigs may have reddening of the skin and irritable behavior.
• These signs usually decrease in the 5 to 8 days after the interruption of the treatment.
• In very rare cases, diarrhea and/or mild inflammation and irritation of the anus and/or The vulva. These clinical signs are usually transient.
Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if necessary:
• In case of overdose, the clinical signs described in the section of adverse reactions.
Withdrawal Period:
• Porcine: Meat: 6 days.
• Broiler chickens: No withdrawal period required.
Storage conditions:
• Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C, in dry place ,used immediately after opening
