Each 1 ml contains:
Diclazuril 10 mg
Diclazuril is an anticoccidial of the benzeneacetonitrile group and has an anticoccidial activity against Eimeria species as E. crandallis , E. ovinoidalis, E. bovis and E. zuernii. Depending on the Coccidia species, It has a coccidiocidal effect on the asexual or sexual stages of the development cycle of the parasite. Treatment with it causes interruption of the coccidial cycle and of excretion of oocysts for approximately 2 weeks after administration. This allows the lambs to bridge the period of decrease of maternal immunity (observed at approximately 4 weeks of age) and calves to reduce the infection pressure of their environment.
For the treatment of:
* coccidial infections in lambs caused Eimeria spp as Eimeria crandallis and Eimeria ovinoidalis.
* coccidiosis in calves caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii.
Diclazuril is highly effective for prevention and treatment of coccidiosis caused by different Eimeria species in poultry:
Chicken: Eimeria acervulina, E.brunetti, E.maxima, E.mitis, E.necatrix, and E.tenella.
Turkey: Eimeria adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis and E. gallopavonis.
Active against second generation (schizonts) and sexual stages of Eimeria and also inhibits sporulation of oocysts.
Reduces the damage and lesion scores of Coccidia and improves the performance and health of infected hosts.
Sheep (Lambs) & Cattle (Calves), Chicken and Turkey.
Orally
For whole product:
Lambs : 2.5 ml of product /25 kg b.wt. in a single oral administration.
Calves :5 ml of product /50 kg. b.wt. in a single oral administration.
Poultry :
Prophylaxis: 1 ml per each 2 liters of drinking water (1 ppm) for 3 : 5 Days.
Treatment : 1 ml per each 1 liter of drinking water (5 ppm) for 3 : 5 Days.
*For oral use only.
*It is advocated to treat all lambs of the flock and all calves in a pen. This will contribute to reduce the infection pressure and assure a better epidemiological control of the coccidiosis infection.
*Operator warnings: Wash hands after administration of the product.
*Suspected clinical cases of resistance to anticoccidials should be further investigatedusing appropriate tested (e.g. Fecal Egg Count Reduction Test).
Where the results of the test(s) strongly suggest resistance to a particular antiprotozoal , an anticoccidial belonging to another pharmacological class and having a different mode of action Should be used
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Lambs & Calves (Meat & offal): Zero days.
Poultry: Zero days.
