Composition:

Each 100ml contains:

Amprolium (as HCl )  30 gm

Properties:

Amproilum is an anticoccidial agent that acts as competitive inhibitor of thiamine in the parasite Metabolism, and interferes with the metabolism of glucides necessaries for coccidian multiplication and survival. In vitro studies it was shown that the uptake of thiamine by schizonts of Eimeria tenella and by host intestinal cells can occur through passive diffusion or by an active, energy and PH-dependent process. It competitively inhibited both systems; however the parasite was shown to be more sensitive to amprolium than the host.

Indications:

  For the treatment of Coccidiosis caused by Eimeria necatrix & Eimeria tenella

Target Species:

Chickens (broilers ,pullets ,layers ,breeder hens) – Turkeys

Dosage & route of administration:

For whole product:  0.7 ml of product / liter /day for 5-7 consecutive day

Warnings:

• It is not intended for a prevention use.
• It should be reserved in case of coccidiosis outbreaks due to non-availability of vaccine, in case of lack of efficacy of vaccine and in vaccinated flocks if a severe coccidial challenge is diagnosed before immunity has fully developed
• Persons with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of excipients, should avoid contact with the product.
• Wash hands and exposed skin after use.

Contra-indication:

• do not administer treatment longer than 14 days
• Amprolium is a thiamine analogue. Therefore, the efficacy of amprolium may be reduced during a simultaneous administration of products containing vitamin B-complex.

Side effects:

• Prolonged use in high doses may cause thiamine deficiency.
• This deficit can be offset by a contribution of thiamine.

Withdrawal Period:

• Meat & offal: zero days
• Eggs: Zero days.

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C
