Each 1kg contains:
Amprolium (as Hydrochloride) 250 gm.
Ethopabate 16 gm.
Martirolium Plus is an amprolium-ethopabate combination used for treatment of coccidiosis in poultry, containing amprolium and ethopabate that provides a synergistic effect, which is highly effective in the control of major coccidiosis causing Eimeria species of poultry ex : (E.tenella , E.maxima , E.acervulina , E.brunetti , E.necatrix). Amprolium is an anticoccidial agent that acts as competitive inhibitor of thiamine in the parasite metabolism, and interferes with the metabolism of glucides necessaries for coccidian multiplication and survival. It exhibits high activity against E.tenella and E.acervulina. Ethopabate is a folic acid antagonist. It is structural antagonists of folic acid or of para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which is a precursor of folic acid (The host does not synthesize folic acid and has no requirement for PABA). Ethopabate has anticoccidial activity specially against E.maxima and E.brunetti ; and the synergistic combination of amprolium hydrochloride and ethopabate is effective against E.necatrix.
For the treatment of coccidiosis in broiler chickens caused by E.tenella , E.maxima , E.acervulina , E.brunetti and E.necatrix.
