Composition :
Each 1 gm contains:
Neomycin (as sulphate) 77 mg
Oxytetracycline (as hydrochloride) 110 mg
Properties:
Neoxymart Forte is a broad spectrum antibiotic contain neomycin and oxytetracycline. Neomycin is an antibiotic of the aminoglycoside obtained from Streptomyces .Its spectrum of activity includes Gram positive, especially staphylococci and less active Streptococci and Gram-negative, particularly Escherichia coli. Neomycin binds to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which disturbs the reading of the constituent code of the messenger RNA, and finally the bacterial protein synthesis. At high concentrations, it has been shown that aminoglycosides damage the bacterial cell wall, adding bactericidal properties to bacteriostatic properties. Oxytetracycline has a primarily bacteriostatic activity. It binds reversibly to the receptor fraction ribosomal 30 S, this leading to a blockage of the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA corresponding to the site of the ribosome complex messenger-RNA. This results in inhibition of protein synthesis and therefore a growth arrest of the bacterial culture. The bacteriostatic activity of oxytetracycline involves penetration of the substance in the bacterial cell. The penetration of oxytetracycline is exercised by both passive and active dissemination. The main possible resistance mode is linked to the possible presence of an R factor responsible for a reduction of the active transport of oxytetracycline.. It is primarily active against microorganisms Gram positive and negative, aerobic and anaerobic, and against mycoplasma, Chlamidiae and Rickettsiae.
Indications:
Treatment of :
Colibacilosis caused by E.coli
Infectious coryza caused by Haemophilus Para gallinarum
Chronic respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum
Airsacculitius caused by Mycoplasma meleagridis
Infectious synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae
Pullorum disease caused by Salmonella pullorum.
Target Species:
Broiler chickens.
Dosage for active ingredient:
* Orally via drinking water.
* For whole product: 1.5 g to 2.0 g of product / L of drinking water for 6 days.
Warnings:
– Divalent or trivalent cations (Mg, Fe, Al, Ca) can chelate tetracyclines.
– Tetracyclines should not be administered with antacids, gels based on aluminum, of preparations based on vitamins or minerals as insoluble complexes are formed, which reduces the absorption of the antibiotic.
Contra-indications
- Do not use in birds has hypersensitivity to tetracyclines and / or aminoglycosides.
- Do not use in birds has resistance to tetracyclines and / or aminoglycosides.
Adverse effects:
- As for all other tetracyclines, side effects such as gastro-intestinal disorder and less frequently, allergic and photosensitivity reactions are very rare according to phamaco vigilance data.
The frequency of adverse reactions is defined using the following convention:
– very common (more than 1 in 10 animals treated displaying adverse reaction(s))
– common (more than 1 but less than 10 animals in 100 animals treated)
– uncommon (more than 1 but less than 10 animals in 1,000 animals treated)
– rare (more than 1 but less than 10 animals in 10,000 animals treated)
– very rare (less than 1 animal in 10,000 animals treated, including isolated reports).
– Use only according to the benefit/risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
Withdrawal periods:
Broiler chickens : Meat and offal: 14 days.
Storage condition:
• Store at temperature not exceeding 30° C in dry place.
• Used immediately after opening and reconstitution.
