Each 1 gm contains:
Florfenicol 200 mg
Florfenicol is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic in the phenicol group it acts by inhibiting many Gram positive bacteria and Gram negative bacteria ( Actinobacillus Pleuropneumonia, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Esherichia coli ). Florfenicol acts by inhibiting protein synthesis at the ribosomal level and may be considered bacteriostatic.
Treatment of
Pigs
• Swine respiratory disease caused by Pasteurella Multocida
• Pleuropneumonia caused by Actinobacillus Pleuropneumonia
Broiler Chicken:
• Colibacillosis caused by Esherichia coli
Pigs – broiler chicken
Route: orally via drinking water
Pigs: 10 mg Florfenicol / kg.b.wt. /day /5 days in drinking water
Broiler chickens: 20 mg florefenicol / kg b.wt. / day / 5 days
Pigs: 0.5gm of product / 10kg.b.wt. /day /5 days in drinking water
Broiler chickens: 1 gm / liter drinking water for 5 days
Pigs: meat and offal: 20 days
Chicken: 5 days before slaughter
Store in tightly sealed container protected from light below 30˚C
