Piperazine citrate (Piperazine 35.5% ) 100 %

Properties:

Piperazine is a nematode repellent. It works by reversibly paralyzing nematodes by inhibiting the effects of acetylcholine, which causes them to detach from the digestive wall and be eliminated.

Indications:

It is used for treatment of infestations by the following adult parasites:
• In poultry: Ascaridia spp ,Heterakis spp.
• In pigs: Ascaris suum
• In dogs and cats: Toxocara canis and cati ,Toxascaris leonina

Poultry, pigs, dogs and cats

Dosage & route of administration:

Route of administration :
• Poultry: Orally in drinking water.
• Pigs: Orally in the drinking water
• Dogs-Cats: orally in the drinking water.

Dose of active substance (s) :
• Poultry: 100 to 200 mg of piperazine per kg body weight.
• Pigs: 100 to 200 mg of piperazine per kg body weight,
• Dogs-Cats: 80 to 100 mg piperazine per kg bodyweight,

Dose of whole product :
• Poultry: 2.8 to 5.6 g of powder per 1 Liter of drinking water in a single oral administration.
• Pigs: 2.8 to 5.6 g of powder per 10 kg .b.wt in a single oral administration in the drinking water
• Dogs-Cats: 2.2 to 2.8 g of powder per 10 kg .b.wt orally, for two days in the drinkingwater.
-In puppies and kittens repeat treatment after 3 to 4 weeks.

Contra-indication:

Not known.

Withdrawal Period:

Meat and offal: 7 days.
Eggs : If there is no waiting period, do not use in laying species producing eggs for consumption, 4 weeks before the start of laying and during it.

Storage conditions:

Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in dry place.
