Composition:

Each 1 ml contains:
Abamectin 1 mg
Closantel (as sodium salt) 50 mg

Properties:

Rosamart contains Abamectin, and Closantel. It is effective against internal parasites sensitive to either family of actives and has persistent activity of up to 42 days against Haemonchus contortus.. Abamectin, have a broad spectrum of activity and are active against mature and immature nematode and arthropod parasites of mammals, fish and other vertebrates. It owes its action to selective and high affinity binding of the molecules to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels that occur in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells. This leads to an increased permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions with hyperpolarisation of the nerve or muscle cell resulting in paralysis and death of the parasite.
Closantel is a synthetic antiparasitic agent with high efficacy against liver fluke and haematophagous nematodes in sheep and goats and against the larval stages of some arthropods in sheep. Closantel uncouples the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation resulting in inhibition of ATP synthesis. This induces a marked change in the energy metabolism of the parasite, which finally kills it.

The following mature and immature roundworms and liver fluke in sheep: Haemonchus contortus,Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Trichostrongylus vitrinis, Ostertagia circumcincta, Ostertagia trifurcata, Cooperia oncophora, Cooperia surnabada, Cooperia punctata, Nematodirus spathiger, Fasciola hepatica, Dictyocaulus filaria.

Dosage & Route of administration:

Route: Orally by drenching gun.
– Shake well before use.
For whole product:
1ml of product/5kg b.wt.
– Over 75kg add 1ml/5kg

Warnings:

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION:
Very toxic to aquatic organisms. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container. Harmful to the soil environment. Very toxic to terrestrial invertebrates. Avoid release to the environment.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
In case of spillage, wear appropriate protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spills with inert material and place in waste containers. Wash the area with water and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of waste safely.
DISPOSAL:
Preferably dispose of the product by use. Otherwise dispose of product and packaging at an approved landfill or other approved facility. Avoid contamination of any water source. Triple rinse container immediately after emptying and pour rinse at onto waste ground. Do not use container for any other purpose.

Contra-indications:

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.

Adverse effects :

– May be harmful if swallowed. Abamectin and Closantel possibly may affect development and/or reproduction.
– Abamectin possibly may have effects on or via lactation.
-Closantel possibly may affect the liver. Handle with care.

Withdrawal Periods:

MILK – Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 56 days following the last treatment.
MEAT – Sheep producing meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter either during treatment or within 56 days of the last treatment..

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C and used immediately after opening
