Powder for administration in drinking water

Composition:

Each 1 gm contains: Tylosin (tartrate)   100 mg

Properties:

Tylosin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic at usual doses and bactericidal at high doses.It Penetrates inside the bacteria by passive diffusion and blocks the biosynthesis of bacterial proteins , by joining the 50S ribosomal subunit.It is active against: Mycoplasma spp, Spirochetes, Leptospira spp, Chlamydia spp.And some Gram germs (+)such as: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Erysipelotrix, Corynebacterium ,rhusopathiae, Clostridium spp.Gram germs (-) such as: Fusobacterium necrophorum, Pasteurella spp, Bordetella bronchiseptica.

Indications:

Broiler chickens: Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum

Target species:   Broiler chickens.

Dosage& adminstration:

Route: orally with water.

For whole product: 5 g of product/ liter drinking water daily for 3-5 days.

Warnings & precaution:

-The use of the medication in conditions other than those recommended in the technical data sheet

can increase the prevalence of Tylosin-resistant bacteria and decrease the effectiveness of treatment with macrolides as a consequence of the appearance of cross-resistance.

-It has been demonstrated a high rate of vitro resistance in european strains of Brachyspira

hyodysenteriae, which implies that the product will not be sufficiently effective against

swine dysentery.

-People with known hypersensitivity to Tylosin should avoid all contact with the medicine.

-Avoid direct contact with the skin, mucous membranes and inhalation of the product.

-In case of contact accidental, wash immediately with plenty of water.

-If symptoms appear after exposure, such as a rash, consult a doctor

Contra-indications:

– Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to Tylosin or other macrolides and / or any of the excipients

-Do not use in case of suspicion of cross resistance to other macrolides.

-Do not administer to laying birds whose eggs are destined for human consumption.

-Do not administer together with bactericidal antibiotics

Side effects:.

-Diarrhea, erythema and itching throughout the skin.

-In severe cases, petechial appear on the skin and serous membranes, especially in the thickest birds.

Withdrawal time:

Broiler chickens: Meat: 5 days.

Eggs: Its use is not authorized in birds whose eggs are used for human consumption.

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place
