Each 1 ml contains:
Doxycycline hyclate 115.39 mg (Equivalent to Doxycycline base 100 mg)
Bromhexine hydrochloride 10 mg
Doxycycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic.
Doxycycline is a semisynthetic derivative of tetracycline, inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria by binding reversibly to the 30S ribosomal subunits, thus blocking the binding of aminoacyl-transfer RNA (tRNA) to the 30S ribosome–mRNA complex, preventing the addition of new amino acids to the growing peptide chain and interfering with it in the synthesis of proteins.
Doxycycline is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Its antibacterial spectrum includes: Mycoplasma spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pasteurella multocida Mannheimia haemolytica.
Bromhexine is a benzylamine with expectorant properties.
Bromhexine increases the volume of bronchial secretion, modifies mucopolysaccharides produced by secretory cells, reduces the viscosity of mucus and increases the activity of cilia in the tracheobronchial tract.
Bromhexine modifies the distribution of antibiotics in the body and increases their concentration at the breathing apparatus.
Bromhexine Used alone or combined with antimicrobial substances for the treatment of respiratory diseases .Which is affected both the production and the tracheobronchial mucus viscosity.
Administration of bromhexine and Doxycycline lead to increase the concentration of antibiotic in lungs, sputum and bronchial secretion.
Broilers: Treatment of chronic respiratory disease and mycoplasmosis produced by Mycoplasma spp. sensitive to doxycycline.
Calves (pre-rumiantes): Treatment of respiratory infections caused by Mannheimia haemolytica or Pasteurella multocida sensitive to doxycycline.
Pigs: Treatment of respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida or Bordetella bronchiseptica sensitive to doxycycline.
Poultry (broilers), bovine (pre-rumiantes calves) and pigs.
Route: Orally via drinking water.
-Broilers: 1 ml /liter per day for 4-5 consecutive days
-Pigs: 1 ml /10 kg B.W. / Day for 4 to 5 days consecutive days
-Pre-rumiantes Calves: 1 ml of /10 kg B.W. / Day) for 4 – 5 days.
