Composition :
Each 1 kg contains:
Maduramicin ammonium 7.5 gm
Nicarbazin 80 gm
Properties:
Zinamart is powder to be mixed with feed contains two active anticoccidial agents, Maduramicin and Nicarbazin.
Maduramicin is one of iono-phores anticoccidial agent. It has anticoccidial effect produced by interfere with the transport of ions through membranes, causing an influx of positively charged ions (cations).this may upset the osmotic balance of the cell and affects cellular reactions that depend on specific ionic balance. It is activity directed particularly towards . The sporozoites and merozooites, thus drug must be fed continuously to be fullyeffective, as birdsin the field are picking up infection all the time. They are not recommended for treatingestablished infection. Nicarbazin is an carbanilides anticoccidial agents, its activity is predominantly coccidiocidal ,effectively suppressing second-generation schizonts, but it also has coccidiostatic properties and is used for prevention rather than treatment of disease.
Indications:
It used in Broiler Chickens for prevention of Coccidiosis caused by : Eimeria acervulina , E .maxima, E.tenella , E.necatrix, E.brunetti and E.mivati.
Target Species:
Broiler chickens.
Route of Administration:
Route : orally with feed
Dose for active ingredient:
0.375 mg of Maduramicin ammonium + 4 mg of Nicarbazin /kg .b.wt.
Dose for whole product:
500 gm of product/ton of broiler feed, the medicated feed should be fed continuously to broiler chickens as the only ration.
Warnings and precautions:
- Use only as recommended. Do not exceed the recommended level of 5 ppm (mg/kg) as reduced weight gains may result with over dosage.
- Consult a veterinarian or a poultry pathologist if losses exceed 0.5% in a two-day period. -Handle with care. When mixing feed, operators should wear protective clothing, safety glasses and face masks. Wash hands thoroughly after feed preparation.
Contra-indications
- Do not use this feed for treatment of outbreaks of coccidian.
- Do not use in the feeds containing pellet binding agents with exception of bentonite ,pel-Aid or lignosulfonate.
- Do not feed to replacement or breeding or turkey.
- The product never to be given to broilers with in 7 day of treating with tiamulin, The result of doing so could be fatal.
Adverse effects:
- The ionophores have a low therapeutic index and may be very toxic in certain species
- Drug induced stress problems have been attributed to Nicarbazin when fed to birds in hot climates, some times culminating in the death of heavy broilers
- Egg production and quantity, and poor hatchability may occur, so it is not recommended that Nicarbazin is dosed to laying birds.
Withdrawal periods:
Meet: Nil
Eggs: do not use in birds which are producing or may in the future produced eggs or products for human consumption.
Storage condition:
- Store at temperature below 30 C.
- Keep in dark & dry place away from direct sunlight and keep out from reach of children.
