Composition :
Each one gram contains:
Gentamycin (as sulfate) 200 mg.
Properties:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, acts on susceptible bacteria by irreversible binding to the 30 S ribosomal subunit thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. It is considered a bactericidal concentration-dependant antibiotic. Gentamicin’s spectrum of activity includes coverage against many aerobic Gm –ve
& some aerobic Gm +ve bacteria, including most species of E.coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Enterobacter, Serratia & Shigella, Mycoplasma & Staphylococcus.
Indications:
For treatment of
- Colibacillosis in weanling swine caused by strains of E.coli sensitive to gentamicin.
- Swine dysentery associated with Treponema hyodysenteriae.
Target Species:
Swine
Dosage & Route of administration:
Taken orally via drinking water.
For active ingredient: 4 mg/kg.b.wt Gentamycin
For whole product:1.7 of product/10 liter water for 3-5 days.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Use only after ensuring the sensitivity of the germs to Gentamycin.
- it recommends performing an antibiogram before the start of the treatment.
- Do not exceed the dosages and duration of the recommended therapy.
Contra-indications
- Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to Gentamycin.
- Do not administer to animals with impaired renal function
Side-effects:
- Non in the recommended doses.
- Adverse effect profile: nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity & neuromuscular blockade.
Withdrawal time:
Meat: 12 days

- Store at temperature not more than 30°C.
- Keep out from reach of children.
